ABOUT

Hi! I’m Sara Laurino.

On my own journey of self- discovery, I have felt the impact of a therapeutic space to explore, break open, feel things deeply and become my most true self.

As a trained clinical social worker, I focus on you as a whole person. My practice is deeply rooted in mindfulness, social justice and anti-oppression. I practice from a client centered and trauma informed perspective.  Intergenerational family healing is a focus area of mine, both family of choice and biological families. I work with clients who are living with anxiety and/or depression, as well as clients who have experienced trauma. My specialty areas of focus are life transitions, self-esteem, family conflict, grief, relationship issues and spirituality.  I am LGBTQI+ allied.

I honor and explore our interconnectedness to all beings, and in my practice invite an openness to the natural world around you. I believe that in becoming aware of the beauty that surrounds us, we ultimately become more connected to ourselves.

My own meditation practice keeps me grounded and present in my work. I am available to share buddhist resources with clients if they may choose.

“Our true nature is like a precious jewel: although it may be temporarily buried in mud, it remains completely brilliant and unaffected. We simply have to uncover it.”
